Etappentour von München bis Umag durch die Regionen Oberbayern (Germany), Salzburg, Kärnten (Austria), Friaul-Julisch Venetien (Italy) und Istrien (Slowenia & Croatia). Je nach Kondition/ Zwischenstoppanzahl verteilbar auf 7 bis 10 Tage.

The first stage is the one that goes from Salzburg to Bischofschofen, which is about 400 m above sea level, with climbs and descents in the valleys that alternate and have several spectacular places to cross in about 4 hours. Salzburg will be able to admire the Mozart Platz, dedicated to the illustrious musician who was born in the Austrian city, and then passed in the DomQuartier, with its noble palaces, squares and museums. Just outside the city, the 600-year-old Hellbrunn Castle awaits cyclists, with its monumental fountains and amazing water games, until you reach the Salzachofen Gorge and the Eisriesenwelt Cave.

The second stage takes place first along the barrier basins of the middle course of the Salzach up to Schwarzach, to then overcome a climb beyond which you arrive in the Gastein valley. From the beginning of the valley to Bad Gastein, a spa resort crossed by a famous waterfall, you follow a cycle path that crosses a magnificent alpine scenery.The Salzburg Alps are a constant presence in this stage. In the Gastein valley the view finally opens up to the peaks and glaciers of the Hohe Tauern. From Bischofshofen to Schwarzach you can easily cycle along the Salzach river, which in this section is partly protected by damming dams. Along the way you cross St. Johann im Pongau, district capital, (it is worth taking a detour to visit the great neo-Gothic "Pongauer Dom" in the upper part of the country).Between Schwarzach and the village of Klammstein, at the beginning of the Gastein valley, you have to overcome 200 meters in altitude. At the beginning of the valley you have to cross a 1.5 km long tunnel. To avoid it, you can take the railway or the taxi for cyclists (Radtaxi). Without further climbs, you can pedal pleasantly through the Gastein valley, first touching Dorfgastein and then the center of Bad Hofgastein, a famous spa resort. From here, following the Gasteiner Ache stream, continue to Bad Bruck. The scenery of the famous spa around the Gastein waterfall gets closer and closer to the cyclist's eyes. But to get to Bad Gastein you have to overcome the last few meters on a steep slope.
