Start by taking the train from Bergen to Finse. From Hotel Finse 1222, the hike to glacier Hardangerjøkulen begins. The sixth biggest glacier in Norway that is continuously retracting year by year.   

This round tour starts with the famous stairs and leads you to a viewing point with Skarvsenden.

Turen går opp i skaret mellom Lille og Store Finsenut. Rundt og opp på vestsiden mot varden på toppen. Ned mot Finsesåta og tilbake mot Finse, over Finseelven ved inntaksdammen.

Take a roundtrip with sweeping views for miles of the big Hardangervidda plateau. This hike takes you from Hakkesetstølen to Birgithovda (1,173 m.a.s.l.). You can also start and end from Geilo, taking the summer chairlift or catching a bus back to Geilo. 

A short hike in walking distance of Geilo center with nature surrounding you as you where far away from a city. For a quick walk close to the town centre head to Slåttahølen. Along the way you can stop to take in Geilojordet, fish from the pier, or explore the fox track with the kids.
