Kräftige Bergtour auf den höchsten Berg der Ukraine von der Südseite (2.067m)

Hoverla (2061m) is the highest mountain in Ukraine and it belongs to the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by nature reserves. The trail starts at Zaroslyak Basecamp. For those who drive to Zaroslyak Basecamp: you would need to pay an entrance fee about 8km ahead of the camp for entering the nature reserve. The road condition is quite challenging with many potholes, so the last 8km drive could take long. After you start: you may follow the green signs for uphill and blue signs for downhill.

Zum Ausgangspunkt, dem Camp Kosmeschtschik (870m), kann man von Jasinja mit dem Auto (Erlaubnis am Parkeingang) anfahren. Die Tour ist leicht zu finden und führt auf den höchsten Gipfel der Ukraine, den Hoverla (2061m). Viele Ukrainer zieht es ebenfalls zu diesem Gipfel, meist jedoch von Südosten aus, wo man bis auf 1270m anfahren kann.

Interesting alternative if the storm is forcing you to abandon the attack on Hoverla and the clouds are covering main ridge. The tour has been made in three parts with two nights under the tent - on Zaroslyak and at the high end of Bystrec village.
