Lange und anspruchsvolle Tour. Vom Küstenort Piran durch das Hinterland, Besichtigung der Kirche von Hrastovlje und Fahrt in die Nähe der Höhlen von Skocjan.

Cycling southwards, pass the salt mines of Secovlje, into Istria in Croatia, and the majestic town of Poreč on the Adriatic coast.

Crossing into Slovenia today. Stopping at the famed towns of Koper and Piran enroute to the spa town of Portorož.

Die 8. Etappe führt von San Bartolomeo nach Umag in Kroatien. Auch nicht wie ursprünglich geplant. Bin wieder durch Schlechtwetter aufgehalten worden, und auch das Handy überlebte ein Unwetter nicht. Eigentlich sollte es von Piran nach Savudrija gehen ( wahrscheinlich nördlichster Punk von Kroatien), wo ich mir den ältesten kroatischen Leuchtturm betrachten wollte.  Wetterbedingt habe ich die Nordwetspitze rechts liegen gelassen und bin quer durchs Hinterland ziemlich direkt nach Umag gefahren.
