This tour is absolutely family-friendly and ideal for people who like a little exercise and fantastic panoramic views of Allgäu's mountain peaks. For a parking fee of €2/24 hours you can leave your car in the parking area in Saloberstraße. After a short walk to the northern shore of the Alatsee lake, you follow the path at your right. When you reach a fork in the path you turn right and follow the switchback forest path which directly leads to the serviced alpine hut Salober Alm. The tour approximately takes two hours.
Sledding downhill is also possible in the evening but please note that there is no installed floodlight, so headlamps are required.
