38km route with 3650m climb, traversing 11 of the original 12 Bens, and Maumonght.

A difficult route, a lot of loose stones and slippery rocks, no visible path in places, not recommended in poor visibility, take at least 3 liters of water with you.

This is a circuit route, starting and ending in Lehardaun village. It is the same route used for the annual up-and-over challenge event, and has mixed terrain; the route starts and ends on quiet country roads. Having started in the village, after a few Kms, the route moves off road on to forest tracks and then progresses slowly up the mountain to the high point on Neiphin Mor. After departing the summit, the route descends down the mountain to rejoin roads and eventually loop back to the village.

One of the most famous and quite frankly hardest challenge walks on the Irish Hillwalking calendar and a must for anybody that is serious about endurance hill walks.
